The Soul has been one of the most popular Kia cars in the US market. Everyone loves value for money, and the Kia Soul offers just that. The Soul was thoroughly updated in 2020, not just the design but also the features. Hence, people were not really expecting any changes for 2021. Surprisingly, the 2021 Kia Soul has quite a few changes.

Let’s check out what’s new.

Trims

The 2021 Kia Soul also offers five trims- LX, X-Line, S, EX, and GT-Line, the same as the 2020 model. The S trim comes with proper safety equipment, while the X-Line gives a rugged feel with its styling. The GT-Line trim is performance-oriented, while the EX trim focuses on luxury. In 2021, Kia has made sure that there is a Soul for every Kia customer.

However, the EX trim no longer comes with projector-style headlights and LED daytime running lights. It also no longer comes with 18-inch wheels, full LED front lighting, performance tires, LED brake lights, leatherette seat bolsters, or a designer grille.

There is also a sub-trim called the Soul GT-Line Turbo that combines the best of both EX and GT-Line. It has been renamed “Soul Turbo” for 2021.

Colors

2020 Kia Soul came in many funky colors, but many of them have been removed for 2021. The colors no longer available for 2021 include yellow, gold, gold with a white roof, gray with a gold roof, white with a red roof, red with a black roof, and black with a red roof.

The eye-catching two-tone color scheme of 2020 Kia Soul made it stand out among the crowd. Unfortunately, that option is not available in 2021.

Features

Even though Kia may have removed some options for 2021, it has added a rear occupant alert system as standard in all its trims.
