2016 Kia Optima and 2017 Kia Sportage Redesign Features
The first half of the year is usually awards season for a wide variety of disciplines, from movies to music, and even automobiles. This season has been an exceptional one for Kia Motors, who won the prestigious iF Product Design Award thanks to the features shown on the redesigned 2016 Kia Optima and 2017 Kia Sportage.
What is the iF Product Design Award?
The iF Product Design Award is the equivalent of the Oscars in the world of industrial design and focuses on creativity, beauty, usability, and sustainability. This is the seventh time that Kia has won this prestigious award in the Products: Automobiles/Vehicles/Bikes category.
2016 Kia Optima Redesign Features
For 2016, the Kia Optima was completely made over both on the outside and inside. The skin is much more sleek and sculpted compared to previous models, and features larger and brighter lights, along with a larger tiger-nose grille. The interior features many options, such as the UVO infotainment system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, and programs targeted to teen drivers to promote safe driving.
2017 Kia Sportage Redesign Features
Like the 2016 Optima, the redesign for the 2017 Kia Sportage included a whole new look with a larger, rounder, and more aggressive front end. One of the most significant changes for the 2017 model is the addition of the GT line. The interior of the 2017 Sportage is outfitted with high-quality and plush materials, along with many features to keep passengers connected and engaged while on the road.
